The 2nd Powered & Next-Generation Cards conference and exhibition will be held at the Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay on 5-6 July. The 2-day conference will cover:
  • Day 1 - Seminar on Biometric Payment Cards
  • Day 2 - Manufacturing Next-Generation Cards
Biometric Payment Cards
The seminar on biometric payment cards is the first opportunity for payment card issuers and their partners to understand the applications of biometrics for payment cards. Biometric cards address the remaining challenges with EMV contactless payment cards including:
  • Customer and regulator concerns about lost/stolen cards
  • Customer perceptions about hacking/skimming contactless cards
  • Frictionless contactless card payments above the threshold
  • Transitioning away from passwords and PINs towards biometrics
Manufacturing Next-Generation Cards
The mass adoption of fingerprint sensors in smartphones have made biometrics a widely accepted, consumer-friendly answer to security. Integrating consumer biometrics into cards can strengthen security while also improving customer convenience and is expected to become the next evolution in cardholder authentication.

Day 2 is an industry session for card manufacturers, card integrators and card component suppliers focused on developments in manufacturing of powered and next-generation cards. The industry session will cover the roadmap for the evolution of payment and identity cards and how new solutions such as biometric cards can evolve from niche to mainstream products.

The only event focused on Next-Generation Cards
This is the only industry event focused on the future of the payment and identity card business. Day 1 is the the world's first industry event focused on biometric payment cards. Day 2 is the only opportunity for industry to meet and discuss the technology roadmap with experts from the powered cards and next-generation cards ecosystem.

The conference and the exhibition offer excellent opportunities for leading next-generation card solutions providers to engage with card issuers, scheme operators, integrators and partners in the supply chain.
